Icarus is a science-fiction survival game. In it, players take on the role of prospectors who seek their fortune on the wild planet. The gameplay is conducted in an open world, in a limited session model, in which the players have a certain amount of time to complete missions and find exotic materials. However, this will not be easy to accomplish, as you have to think about satisfying your needs, replenishing supplies, watching out for dangerous animals and creating progressively better items. If you want to do all of that, picking up animals may be helpful. We will tell you how to do that in our guide.

Picking up animals in Icarus

Players will want to kill animals not only for the sake of avoiding danger itself, but also for the valuable resources that can be extracted from them. Unfortunately, the very method of picking up corpses in Icarus can be a bit tricky to understand, especially for new players.

First of all, you have to make sure that there are no items in your G Slot. If something is there, that's most likely why you won't be able to pick up the animal's carcass. To solve this problem, simply move the items that are in the G Slot to the Storage Box. Thanks to this, the option of picking up animals should be available.

Also, remember not to have anything equipped when picking up animals, make sure that you have hands icon in the lower right corner of the screen. Moreover, some animals are so large and heavy that it will be impossible to pick them up, even if you have free space in your backpack.
