Only hours separate us from immersing ourselves in the phenomenal world of Pandora. However, it's not about James Cameron's next cinematic work, but an action adventure game title Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Ubisoft's game will officially debut tomorrow, so many of you are probably wondering whether it's worth investing your money in the French publisher's latest work. The answer to this question will be given to you by industry reviewers, who had the opportunity to test the said title.

  1. At this point we invite everyone to read the following opinion about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora by our editorial colleague Giancarlo Saldana.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - pros

What captivated journalists about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, is first and foremost "a stunning alien world to explore". In Ubisoft's game, all fans of James Cameron's universe will feel like fish in water. Developers rendered the charms of the moon Pandora with extraordinary craftsmanship, which you want to absorb every second of play.

In technical terms Frontiers of Pandora also performs quite decently. Reviewers occasionally experienced glitches.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - cons

However, a beautifully depicted world is not enough for a game to be hailed as a masterpiece. Therefore, in the opinion of reviewers, Ubisoft's game does not even come close to this designation. What falls short in Frontiers of Pandora is supposed to be many aspects of the gameplay, which mainly consists of gaining skill points by hunting wild and not necessarily dangerous animals. According to journalists Avatar is another carbon copy of Far Cry, only taking place on an alien planet.

The plot itself is supposed to be boring, without much depth, and very "safe". In this respect, Ubisoft's work did not realize its potential.

In conclusion, the game, despite its flaws, comes off quite tolerably - and for some even excellently, such as for Mick Fraser from God is a Geek, who stated that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is one of Ubisoft's best games of recent years.

The game is headed for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Some time ago Ubisoft confirmed that the game will receive a paid season pass, which will include, among other things, two major DLCs and a bonus mission. Access to the season pass is provided by the Gold and Ultimate versions.

An introvert by nature. Since childhood, he felt a closer connection to humanism than to the sciences. Instead of exercises in maths, he preferred shutting himself up in his world and inventing new stories of his favorite anime – Dragon Ball. After years of study came a time of stagnation, which he preferred to call "searching for purpose." Looking out for destiny during the 58th screening of his beloved Die Hard, he decided – like John McCLane – to fight for a better future. He found the avenue to do this in Gamepressure. Since he's still a freshman in the newsroom, he doesn't have a target subject he wants to focus on yet. So, you can expect news about farming simulators, or the impact of Johnny Depp's trial on the future of Pirates of the Caribbean. If you ever hear that playing console games and watching movies is futile – remember this story
